Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, following proper driving range etiquette ensures everyone has an enjoyable and productive practice session. Here are the key guidelines to keep in mind.
Always stay within your designated hitting area or mat. Avoid encroaching on the space of the golfer next to you, and be mindful of your swing arc. Give fellow golfers plenty of room to swing freely and safely.
If the range is busy and mats are shared, be patient and take turns. Never step up to hit while someone nearby is mid-swing or preparing to hit.
The driving range is a place of focus and practice. Keep conversations at a reasonable volume, silence your phone, and avoid disruptive behaviour that could break another golfer's concentration.
Please return all rented equipment and empty ball buckets to their designated areas when you're done. Dispose of any trash and leave your hitting area as tidy as you found it.
Never walk onto the range to retrieve balls while others are hitting.
Unless asked, refrain from offering swing tips or commentary to other golfers. Everyone is at a different stage in their game, and unsolicited advice can be distracting or unwelcome.
During busy periods, be conscious of how long you've been occupying your area. If there's a lineup, consider wrapping up your session so others can get their practice in.

Start with shorter clubs and work your way up. Avoid taking full driver swings right away, especially in tight spaces, as errant shots can be dangerous to those around you.
The driving range is a place to improve your game and enjoy the sport. Keep a positive attitude, encourage fellow golfers, and remember — everyone is there to get better!
Happy practising, and see you at the range!
