Michael brings 30 years teaching experience to Vic Hadfield Golf & Learning Centre, joining us from Glen Abbey Golf Club 2012-2020. A Class "A" Member of the Canadian PGA for 25 years with career highlights including being named PGA of Ontario 'Teacher of the Year', PGA of Ontario (Toronto Region) 'Teacher of the Year' and National Posts 'Top 50 Instructors in Canada'. Prior to Glen Abbey, Michael operated his own academy at Lionhead Golf & Country Club 2008-2011. From 1999-2008, he acted as the Executive Director of Golf for the Academies at Golf Town, assembling a team of over 40 Canadian PGA Professionals for 35 stores across Canada. Michael's teaching philosophy, communication skills and golf swing expertise has made him one of the most sought-after teaching professionals in Canada. So whether you are a seasoned player or just beginning, Michael will tailor a program to suit your need using V-1 video.
Playing the game from the age of 9, Rafael Kalamat developed his desire to teach while working at the Dorval Golf Club in 1998 and became a certified teaching professional soon thereafter. In the years since, Rafael has enthusiastically set out to be a great golf instructor and coach. He has steadily built a reputation as an instructor with over 20+ years of experience. After working at various golf clubs including the Royal Montreal Golf Club, Rafael developed his golf schools at several locations. His golf instruction has given him the opportunity to teach in places such as Florida, the Caribbean, and Dubai. Rafael enjoys working with beginners, low handicapper and professionals. He works with his students so they may learn, develop and reach their potential while having an enjoyable experience.

I cater to beginners, experienced and junior golfers.
I have been a golf professional for 25 years. I earned my CPGA status at White Oaks Golf Club here in Oakville. I went on to Pro Golf Mississauga as the Director of Golf Instruction teaching golfers of all ages and skill levels with great success. I play as a left-handed golfer, but taught myself to swing right-handed to better understand the golf swing. I also play competitively, playing in the Canadian Tours Fall Qualifying School and many Canadian Open Qualifiers. I then went on to work for The Golf Channel in Orlando, Florida for 4 years. Golf is the greatest game on earth, you can start at any age and play your whole life. I have had some of the best teachers teach me throughout my career. I myself am not a method teacher, every one of us has our own blueprint, a swing that is our own. A golf swing can be as simple as throwing a ball. I’ll help you find that swing, improve it, and understand it.

Ever since being the first junior member here at Vic Hadfield Golf & Learning Centre, Lucas has had a
passion for the game of golf. Studying at Queen’s University, Lucas has been playing golf since he was
seven, playing competitively at a young age before turning to a more teaching-centred role in the game.
Lucas has taught various junior summer camps and clinics over the past 4 years, making him well suited
for younger golfers looking to get into the game. Golf can be a very complicated and technically intense
sport. Lucas’ coaching style brings simplicity to the game and will help build a strong base
understanding of the fundamentals of golf to new and seasoned golfers alike.
Mohammad is committed to helping you achieve a greater enjoyment of the game of golf. Whether you are just being introduced to the game or playing for years, he likes to keep it fun with a focus on you reaching your goals. Mohammad brings over 25 years as an educator/coach at the secondary school level and 20 years of playing experience. He is certified by the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation.
